WHITE OAK 52, ELYSIAN FIELDS 43: ELYSIAN FIELDS — Cameron Bates and Andrew Hood did most of their damage in a 26-point opening quarter for White Oak as the Roughnecks held on for a 52-43 win over Elysian Fields in District 16-3A action.
Bates had nine of his 13 points and Hood scored eight of his 12 points in the opening frame as the Roughnecks built a 26-7 cushion after one and extended the lead to 41-24 at halftime. Stone Palmer finished with seven points and 11 rebounds for the Roughnecks (11-10, 3-1).
Cole Myers scored 13 points and five assists in the loss for Elysian Fields. Michael Ramirez added eight points and 15 rebounds, Cade Shaffer six points and three assists, Tyrese Hardamen five points and seven rebounds, Chris Smith seven points and Jade Ashalintubbi four points and eight rebounds.
White Oak hosts Ore City and Elysian Fields visits Jefferson on Friday.
BECKVILLE 60, NEW DIANA 45: BECKVILLE — The Beckville Bearcats broke open a close game at halftime, building an 11-point cushion after three and earning a 60-45 win over New Diana in District 16-3A action.
Trey Lindsey scored 16 points for Beckville, which also got 10 points apiece from C.J. Robinson and Stephen Darden and seven from Brandt Harris to improve to 12-7 overall and 4-0 in district action.
ORE CITY 60, HARLETON 45: HARLETON — Jeremiah Gilliam scored 17 points, Joe Campbell added 14 for the Rebels and Ore City earned a 60-45 win over Harleton in District 16-3A action.
Marco Jimenez and Johntavious Goynes scored 17 points apiece in the loss for Harleton.
SABINE 73, WEST RUSK 42: LIBERTY CITY — Eylan Goodwyn and Nathan Willis combined for 31 points, and Sabine raced out to a 15-point lead after one quarter en route to a 73-42 win over West Rusk in District 15-3A action.
Goodwyn finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and four steals, and Willis scored 15 points. Travion Oliver chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds, Hunter Grotemat nine points, Scottie Taylor eight points and five rebounds and Will Shawn six points and six rebounds.
WINONA 66, HARMONY 58: HARMONY — Winona used a big second quarter to rally past Harmony, 66-58, in District 15-3A action on Tuesday.
Winona trailed 13-10 after one quarter, but outscored the Eagles 22-13 in the second to take the lead for good.
Spencer Seahorn and Chris McMillan had 13 points apiece in the loss for Harmony, which also got eight points from Michael Settles, six apiece from Trev Buckley, Drew McNeel and Easton Blackstone and three apiece from Cameron Helpenstill and Trent Hart.
Seahorn added 15 rebounds, five steals and three assists, Settles 10 rebounds, Helpenstill four steals and four assists and Blackstone three steals.
ATHENS 81, BIG SANDY 70: ATHENS — Javiry Brown and Miles Koehler scored 19 points apiece, and No. 21 ranked (4A) Athens used a big opening quarter to pull away from No. 4 (2A) Big Sandy.
Josiah Johnson scored 30 points and added 12 rebounds, five steals and four assists in the loss for Big Sandy (12-5), which trailed Athens (18-2) by 16 after one quarter. Gabriel Lemons added 12 points, Caden Minter and Joshua Shipman nine apiece and Jordan Oswalt two points and seven rebounds. Shipman also gathered seven rebounds.
Big Sandy opens district play at home against Carlisle on Friday.
HARLETON 54, ORE CITY 45: HARLETON — Tyler Mobley recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Harleton used a big second quarter to rally for a 53-45 win over Ore City in District 16-3A play.
Mobley also added four assists and two steals for Harleton. Katelynn Smith finished with 10 points, six rebounds and seven assists, Loren Garrett three points, three rebounds and two assists, Ashanti Johnson eight points, five rebounds and two steals and Hanna Watson eight points and 13 rebounds.
Andi Freeman had 12 points, and Theresa Uehling and Tori Pena finished with 10 apiece for Ore City, which led 14-11 after one quarter but trailed 30-19 at halftime.
Ore City visits White Oak and Harleton hosts Beckville on Friday.
REDWATER 54, DAINGERFIELD 25: DAINGERFIELD — Redwater jumped out to a 15-5 lead after one quarter and rolled to a 54-25 win over Daingerfield in District 14-3A action.
Mikayla Roberson finished with seven points, seven rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in the loss for Daingerfield, which fell to 3-3 in district play. DeSiree Coffey had six points, TreShawnti Howard five and Monorra Sok and Montrevia Durham two apiece.
Daingerfield will visit Paul Pewitt on Friday.
HUGHES SPRINGS 43, PAUL PEWITT 42: HUGHES SPRINGS — A 14-8 run in the final period lifted Hughes Springs to a 43-42 win over Paul Pewitt in District 14-3A action.
Silvia Montgomery finished with 12 points to pace Hughes Springs. Kinsly Echols added eight, Zoe Lanier seven, Calli Stewart six, Braylee Taylor five and Sakiya Simmons one.
Ebbony Cobbins scored 15 points to go along with seven rebounds and six steals in the loss for Paul Pewitt (15-8, 3-3). Lydia Makowiecki added 11 points, five rebounds and three steals, and Sissy Jones chipped in with eight points, four rebounds and two steals.
TST 50, LCS 15: A 17-2 run to open the game lifted the Trinity School of Texas Lady Titans to a 50-15 win over Longview Christian School.
Alyssa Fadal had 12 points, Kate Sparks 10 and Kelsey Rathbun and Abbie Sharp eight apiece for Trinity School.
