ET Volleyball Roundup: Spring Hill falls to Canton, more

CANTON 3, SPRING HILL 1: The Canton Lady Eagles notched a 25-18, 25-20, 21-25, 25-18 non-district win over the Spring Hill Lady Panthers on Tuesday at Panther Gymnasium.

Hannah Methvin finished with 10 service points, six kills, an ace, five blocks, 13 assists and nine digs in the loss for Spring Hill. Grace Browder added three kills and three blocks, Kristen Stewart 15 assists, 12 points, five blocks, seven kills, five aces and 14 digs, Ansley Nichols five points and nine digs, Kaelyn Elliott six kills, eight blocks, 10 points and five digs and Sam Schott 19 digs.

CARTHAGE 3, GILMER 0: GILMER — Mattie Doffitt and DeDe Pope combined for 31 kills, leading the Carthage Lady Bulldogs to a 25-9, 25-18, 25-23 sweep of Gilmer.

Doffitt led the way with 16 kills, and also added seven digs. Pope had 15 kills, Carson Robertson 14 assists and seven digs, Kimberlyn Worsham 21 assists and 10 digs, Kalli Cuff six kills and Courtney Edge 22 digs.

For Gilmer in the loss, Madison Mauldin had eight kills, four blocks and three digs, Meredith Morrison five kills, Reanna Watson four kills, Deyton Edwards 20 assists, Maddie Vestal 22 digs, Sarah Warren 14 digs, Haylee Jordan 10 digs, Aaleya Morton eight digs and Watson six digs.

TATUM 3, PLEASANT GROVE 2: TEXARKANA — Led by Ashton Brown at the net and Madison Fite defensively, the Tatum Lady Eagles rallied for a 23-25, 16-25, 26-24, 25-20, 15-11 win over Pleasant Grove.

Brown finished with 21 kills, 15 digs, 16 assists and 14 blocks, and Fite chipped in with 40 digs, 14 kills, two blocks and two aces.

Essence Allen added eight kills, 10 digs, 20 assists, four blocks and two aces, Ania Centers two kills, 17 digs and two blocks, Adriana Bradley six digs and two aces, Jayla Hooper two kills and three blocks, Lela Burney 17 digs, Averi Brown two kills, three digs and four blocks and Alex Windom five digs.

PRAIRILAND 3, PITTSBURG 1: PATTONVILLE — Prairiland earned a 25-15, 20-25, 25-15, 25-14 win over the Pittsburg Lady Pirates on Tuesday.

Malaysia Burns recorded 16 kills and three blocks in the loss for Pittsburg. Dae'jah Heath chipped in with 10 kills and two aces, Sydney Waldrep 16 assists, Marlisha Swain three kills and three blocks, Tori Henderson two kills, Madison Sansom nine service points, Makayla Thomas three kills, 11 assists, eight points and three aces, Taylor Bullock 11 digs and Kayle Campos nine digs.

WHITE OAK 3, ELYSIAN FIELDS 0: ELYSIAN FIELDS — Kyla Weeks filled the stat sheet with 12 kills, 23 assists, eight digs and three aces, leading the White Oak Ladynecks to a 25-23, 25-11, 25-19 District 16-3A win over Elysian Fields.

Tifanie Barham added 12 digs for White Oak, which also got six kills apiece from Kaitlyn Reed and Kinsey Smith, three assists, six digs and seven aces from destiny Morgan, nine kills from Madison Sigmon, five kills from Alysa Hall, two assists, six digs and two aces from Macy Weeks and 18 digs and six assists from Brooklyn Noll.

BECKVILLE 3, JEFFERSON 0: JEFFERSON — Top-ranked Beckville improved to 25-0 overall and 2-0 in district play with a 25-0, 25-3, 25-11 win over Jefferson in District 16-3A play.

After a kill from Hannah Humphries in the opening set, Kinley Pepper fired off 24 straight service points. Pepper finished the match with 5 aces, nine digs and 25 assists.

Courtlyn Nail added three aces and six digs, Kaylee Hull six digs, Riley Seegers 10 kills and five digs, Baley McGuire four digs, Payton Jones five aces, five kills and six digs, Allison Baker four aces, two kills, three digs, two blocks and two assists, Miranda Mize two kills and two digs and Humphries 13 kills.

ORE CITY 3, WASKOM 2: ORE CITY — Brandee Gabaldon and Hannah Pendarvis ripped 11 kills apiece, Jade Draper handed out 44 assists and Ore City held on for a 25-17, 25-21, 13-25, 15-25, 15-2 District 16-3A win over Waskom.

Gabaldon also had five digs for Ore City. Pendarvis added four aces, four blocks and five digs, Draper 15 digs and two kills, Madison Plasterer 17 digs, Kari Dean three kills and 18 digs, Tori Pena 10 kills, 12 digs and three aces, Andi Freeman two aces, seven kills, 10 digs and two assists, Ally Sewell five kills, three assists and two digs and Landri Ross four digs.

For Waskom in the loss, Devan Strange finished with 10 kills and eight blocks, Michaela Latham 13 kills, two blocks and five digs, Myka Fulce 31 assists and Skyie Middlebrook 40 digs.

NEW DIANA 3, UNION GROVE 0: UNION GROVE — New Diana swept past Union Grove in non-district play, 25-15, 25-17, 25-13.

Makayla Simmons and Joelle Newton combined for 25 assists to pace New Diana. Simmons had 14 assists, seven digs and five kills, and newton 11 assists, two digs and two aces.

Lauren James chipped in with six digs, Krista Russell three kills and four digs, Katelyn Easley 12 kills, Gabi Moore seven kills and two assists, Ali Leslie five kills and four digs and Charlie Rogers three aces.

For Union Grove in the loss, Haley Breazeale had nine digs, two kills and seven assists. Summer Grubbs chipped in with four digs, seven kills, two assists and two aces, Lizzie Bible five digs, McCayleigh Daniels four digs, Madison Webb two digs, five kills and four blocks, Brooke Reeves five kills and three blocks, Kasi Jones one dig and one ace, Shayla Gallagher four digs, Madi Newman three digs and Mariana Gonzalez nine digs.

TROUP 3, SABINE 2: LIBERTY CITY — Troup held on for a 25-18, 18-25, 25-9, 20-25, 15-9 victory over Sabine.

Jansen Reid finished with 25 digs for Troup, adding two aces in the match. Alex Flora added two aces, two kills and eight digs, Alyssa Flora one dig, Asia Parker 17 kills, three blocks and three digs, Cheyenne Henson two digs, Jayla Starks one dig, Kori Minnix three aces, five kills and 14 digs, Natalie Davenport 10 digs and six kills and Savanna Cox eight kills, three blocks and 12 digs.

For Sabine in the loss, Sam Bell recorded three aces and Hagen Dorman two. Bell also led with 13 kills, while Miranda Cook added nine, Kristen Stuart seven, Andrea Busby three and Brookelyn Gray two. Sierrah Richter handed out 18 assists, and Sarah Davis finished with 15. Bell recorded two blocks, and Gray paced the defensive effort with 29 digs. Bell added 13 digs, Richter and Davis 12 apiece, Dorman seven, Stuart four and Busby, Cook and Jada Carter three apiece.

HUGHES SPRINGS 3, DAINGERFIELD 1: HUGHES SPRINGS: After falling in the opening set, Hughes Springs rallied to win the next three and the match, 21-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-16 against Daingerfield.

For Daingerfield in the loss, Ellixandria Walker had eight kills, eight blocks and four aces, Destiny Hurndon four kills and three digs, Kiara Robinson five kills and three blocks, Lemerica Alexander two kills and two blocks, Monnora Sok two digs and two aces, TreShawnti Howard seven assists and two aces, Denebria Hall three digs, DeSiree Coffey eight assists, four aces and two kills and Trinity Blythe 12 digs and two aces.

LEVERETT'S CHAPEL 3, YANTIS 0: LEVERETT'S CHAPEL — Skyla Craig came up with 18 digs to go along with three aces, leading the Leverett's Chapel Lady Lions to a 25-10, 25-16, 25-10 win over Yantis.

Gracie Bathke added seven digs and 18 assists for Leverett's Chapel (13-10). Yesenia Avalos finished with eight kills, 10 digs, two blocks and four aces, Aubrey Williamson seven kills, six digs and seven aces, Lexus Haley four kills, five digs and two aces, Michelle Jamaica seven digs and three aces and Sara Williamson three kills.

GARY 3, CARLISLE 0: PRICE — Gary swept past Carlisle on Tuesday, earning a 25-22, 25-17, 25-15 win.

Leann Youngblood knocked down 24 kills to go along with two aces and 14 digs for Gary. Madie Davis added eight kills and seven digs, and Taylor Rogers chipped in with 29 assists and seven digs.

Heather Craig finished with 14 kills and eight digs for Carlisle in the losing effort.

Aubrey Hart added nine kills and six blocks, and Jailin Kee finished with 24 assists and five digs.

Carlisle (16-12, 1-1) will visit Timpson on Friday.

MPCH 3, LINDEN-KILDARE 0: LINDEN — Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill swept to a 25-19, 25-20, 25-18 win over Linden-Kildare.

For Linden-Kildare in the loss, Jaimya Gaston had 13 kills, four points, three blocks and three digs. Skylar Vaughn added two kills and six digs, Sierra Johnson seven points, 21 assists, 12 digs and two aces, Amaya Savannah eight points, three kills and 12 digs, Peyton Turner six digs, Makayla Martin 17 digs and seven points and Stormie Littlejohn three kills.

CHS 3, HAWKINS 2: Christian Heritage School held on for a 25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-11 win over Hawkins in non-district play.

For Hawkins in the loss, Jaycee Cheshire had eight kills, Logan Jaco four and Christian Harris three. Raeli Smith and Lilly Long combined for six assists apiece. Harlie Conover picked up 11 digs, and Alyssa Eddington added seven.

ETCS 3, ETCA 0: Isabella Hill led the way with 16 kills, adding three aces and two blocks as East Texas Christian School notched a 25-14, 25-20, 25-8 win over East Texas Christian Academy.

Destini Dixon added three aces and nine assists for ETCS, with Micaiah Dixon adding two aces, three kills and four digs, Jaden Parker 11 aces, 22 service points and five assists, Jordan Parker one dig, Riley Park two digs and Jaelene McElhinney one ace.

T.K. GORMAN 3, LCS 0: Bishop T.K. Gorman swept past Longview Christian School on Tuesday, 25-23, 25-12, 25-12.

For LCS in the loss, Abi Logsdon had seven kills, Alex Clendening eight digs, Anna Clark three aces, Amily Thornton two aces, four kills and three digs, Evy Matthews three digs, Jasmine Smith 13 assists and two digs, Kate Brown five digs and Sasha Conner four kills.

TIMPSON 3, SAN AUGUSTINE 0: TIMPSON — Kamryn Courtney and Jasmine Rogers combined for 23 kills, and Timpson moved to 2-0 in district play with a 25-7, 25-19, 25-19 sweep of San Augustine.

Courtney finished with 12 kills and 13 assists, and Rogers added 11 kills, 20 assists and 24 service points for the Lady Bears. Sara Duke chipped in with nine digs. Harlie Ware added four kills and Kayleigh Timmons three.

QUITMAN 3, EDGEWOOD 2: QUITMAN — Kaci Raley came up big with 18 digs, 16 kills and six blocks in a five-set win over Edgewood.

Molly Tanner added 10 digs, 11 kills, four aces and three assists for Quitman, which also got 10 digs and 32 assists from Cammie Hicks, 13 digs and eight kills from Jenrti Jackson and 22 digs and four kills from Madalyn Spears to improve to 20-7 overall and 2-0 in district play.
