ET Basketball: Lady Lobos move to 2-0

HIGH SCHOOL

LONGVIEW 82, ROYSE CITY 61: Destiney McAfee led three players in double digits as Longview moved to 2-0 on the season with an 82-61 win over Royse City on Saturday at Judson Middle School.

McAfee dropped 22 points for the Lady Lobos, who led 24-13 after the first quarter and pulled away with a 28-point third quarter.

McKenze Brown followed with 20 points and Jordan McClain had 17 for Longview, who resumes action on Nov. 20 against Winnsboro.

COLLEGE

KILGORE COLLEGE 72, ARKANSAS BAPTIST 61: TYLER -- The Kilgore College Lady Rangers maintained their unblemished record with a 72-61 victory over The Arkansas Baptist College Lady Buffaloes Nov. 11 at the Holiday Inn Classic at Tyler Junior College.

KC trailed at halftime 31-28, but built a comfortable lead in the second half.

Jade Thurmon led all KC scorers with 31 points and Alicia Mardis earned a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Richelle Velez was also in double figures for the Lady Rangers with 10 points.

ABC was led in scoring by Tashawanna Riggs and Essence Johnson who scored 17 and 12 points, respectively.

KC improves to 4-0 on the season and will face Crowder College at noon today at Masters Gymnasium.
