District 16-3A votes are in

District 16-3A champion Jefferson dominated voting for all-district honors following a perfect run through league play.

The Bulldogs Grayson Early nabbed overall Most Valuable Player honors, while Dee Mitchell was Offensive MVP and Treston Dowell was named Coach of the Year.

Other superlatives went to White Oak's Conner Weeks and Ore City's Nick Hughes (Co-Defensive Player of the Year) and White Oak's Andrew Hood (Newcomer).

Voting was conducted by the district's coaches.


Ore City: Cartea Douglas and Joe Campbell; Waskom: Lamontre Stephens and KT Ceasar; Jefferson: Cameron Hicks and Kepha Luster; Harleton: Andy Ward; Beckville: Stephen Darden and Trey Lindsey; Elysian Fields: Dylan Parker and Ty Feaster; New Diana: Cody Payton; White Oak: Anthony Hoyt and Justin Benson.

Elysian Fields' Frankazia Boyd was a unanimous choice for Most Valuable Player with the release of the District 16-3A All-District Basketball Team.

Elysian Fields' Jade Barge shared Offensive MVP with Jefferson's Jayda McCoy, while Jefferson's Jamya Smith earned Defensive MVP.

Beckville's Jordan Tondreau was chosen Newcomer of the Year and Elysian Fields' Wayne Carter took home Coach of the Year.
