HALLSVILLE 7, GREENVILLE 3: GREENVILLE — Scoring three times in their final two at bats, the Hallsville Bobcats broke open a 1-run game and notched a 7-3 win over the Greenville Lions on Thursday night.

The Bobcats (14-2, 2-0) outhit the Lions 11-6 and got two shutout innings from Blaine Parker, who relieved Mason Higginbotham, who garnered the win.

Logan Durrett bagged three base hits, drove in a run and scored once. Carson Chapman homered and singled with an RBI and two runs scored.

Colton Oney and Ty Meissner each singled and drove in runs, while Parker, Mason Oxsheer and Spencer Patterson all doubled.


HALLSVILLE 8, GREENVILLE 3: GREENVILLE — A five-run seventh sealed the deal for the Hallsville Ladycats in their 8-3 victory over the Greenville Lady Lions here Thursday afternoon.

Lorena Ramirez and Jaydin Ainsworth each hammered out three hits as Hallsville totaled 16 base raps. Lauren Anderson went 2 for 3 with a game-high 4 RBI.

Ramirez, who drove in two runs, joined teammates Sierra Sacky and Taylor Freem with doubles.

Madison McElroy started in the circle for the Ladycats and got the decision. McElroy held Greenville to two hits and struck out three, while Breanna Pugh came on in relief to get the save.

Hallsville improves to 11-9-1 overall and picks up its first win in District 16-5A play.

MOUNT PLEASANT 7, PINE TREE 6: MOUNT PLEASANT — The Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers rallied for two runs in their final at bat to defeat the Pine Tree Lady Pirates, 7-6, in District 16-5A play.

Pine Tree erupted for five runs in the sixth and overcame a 5-1 deficit to take their first lead of the game.

Lady Tiger lead off hitter Ashleigh Cheek went 3 for 4 with three runs score, an RBI and two doubles. Jordan Dickerson totaled four RBI and a round tripper, as did Camille Gill for Mount Pleasant.

Dajah Montgomery and Cheyenne Thurmond both had three base raps for Pine Tree. Montgomery doubled twice, while Robin Jackson and Na'Keyia Fisher also slapped two baggers.

Madalyn Alexander went the distance in the loss for Pine Tree, which drops to 17-5-1 and 2-2 in loop play.

Averie Ayers got the victory in relief for Mount Pleasant.

CARTHAGE 8, PITTSBURG 3: PITTSBURG — Kayman Courtney and Carson Robertson both drove in three runs as the Carthage Lady Bulldogs bested the Pittsburg Lady Pirates, 8-3, in their final non-district tune-up Thursday afternoon.

Courtney collected three hits in three plate appearances with a run scored and base on balls. Robertson belted two home runs.

Chelcie Pierce, Kimberlyn Worsham and Addison Blissett all doubled in the victory.

Taylor Willis was the pitcher of decision for Carthage, which improves its overall mark to 16-4-2.


UNION GROVE 15, BIG SANDY 5: UNION GROVE — Lizzie Bible homered, singled three times and drove in four runs, and Union Grove scored early and often en route to a 15-5 win over Big Sandy.

Paige Summers tripled, singled twice and drove in two runs for the Lady Lions. Savanna Chambliss added two doubles, a single and two RBIs, and Kasi Jones doubled, singled and drove in two. Paige Summers banged out three hits and drove in two runs, and Madelynn Lacaze chipped in with two hits and an RBI. Peyton Camberlain also drove in a run for Union Grove.

Jones handled the pitching chores. She struck out nine, walked three and gave up three earned runs in six innings.


SABINE 6, ARP 3: LIBERTY CITY — Andrea Busby collected two hits and drove in three runs from the top of the order, leading the Sabine Lady Cardinals to a 6-3 win over Arp.

Cali King added a single and two RBIs for Sabine, and Genesis Willett, Cheyenne Bynum, Miranda Cook and Sam Bell all added hits.

Miranda Cook struck out four, walked two and gave up three earned runs on five hits in seven innings for the pitching win.
