LONGVIEW 19, NORTH MESQUITE 0: MESQUITE — Brooke Goynes homered, singled and drove in two runs, Kennedy Cameron hurled a one-hitter and the Longview Lady Lobos coasted to a 19-0 win over North Mesquite in District 11-6A play.
Cameron struck out five with no walks in a four-inning outing.
Chandler Peoples and Sauntiana Darden led a 17-hit attack for the Lady Lobos by going 3-for-3 with three RBIs apiece. LaTrice Davis doubled, singled and drove in two runs, and Jordan McClain and Alex Johnson added two hits and two RBIs apiece. Kerris Cameron also drove in a run.
Longview improves to 11-8 overall and 2-1 in district play with the win.
PINE TREE 5, SULPHUR SPRINGS 3: Na'Keyia Fisher homered twice and drove in four runs, and Madalyn Alexander worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the top of the seventh as Pine Tree held on for a 5-3 District 16-5A win over Sulphur Springs.
Pine Tree led 4-0, but Sulphur Springs scored lone runs in the fifth and sixth, and added one in the top of the seventh on an RBI single by Brinklee Driver. The Lady Wildcats loaded the bases with a single and an error, but Alexander fanned Jaye Doughtie to end the game.
Alexander struck out eight and walked one, allowing two earned runs on eight hits.
Robin Jackson added two hits and drove in a run for Pine Tree, and Julie Waddell, Lexie Green, Cheyenne Thurmond and Riley Kennedy all collected hits.
Driver and Kristen Allen had two his apiece for Sulphur Springs, with Kelsey Wallace driving in a run.
Bailey Haggerty struck out six and walked one in the pitching loss.
Pine Tree moves to 17-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the district with the win. Sulphur Springs drops to 15-5 and 2-1.
MOUNT PLEASANT 13, HALLSVILLE 12: HALLSVILLE — Mount Pleasant held on for a 13-12 win over Hallsville in a District 16-5A contest that featured 25 runs, 27 hits and 13 errors.
Taylor Freeman homered, doubled and drove in three runs and Emily Morin added a triple, doubled and four RBI in the loss for Hallsville. Sierra Sacky chipped in with a double, single and two RBI. Jaydin Ainsworth had two hits, and Lorena Ramirez drove in a run.
Shonna Tausch took the pitching loss. Madison McElroy struck out four and walked three.
TEXAS HIGH 10, MARSHALL 5: MARSHALL — Texas High scored five in the top of the second and held on for a 10-5 District 16-5A win over the Marshall Lady Mavs.
Marshall rallied for five in the bottom of the sixth, but it wasn't enough.
Haylie Rich had tow hits, and Kinley Wilkins drove in two runs for Marshall. Rich and Camryn Williams also drove in runs.
GILMER 11, TATUM 5: TATUM — The Gilmer Lady Buckeyes scored seven times in the top of the ninth inning to pull away for an 11-5 non-district win over the Tatum Lady Eagles.
Madeline Barber homered, doubled twice, singled and drove in five runs from the top of the batting lineup and also earned the pitching win for Gilmer. Jewel Rash and Jade Ramthun doubled, with Rash adding a single and two RBIs and Ramthun driving in a run. Shannie Jones and Madison McCurry also drove in runs for Gilmer.
Barber struck out 14.
For Tatum in the loss, Carsyn Caldemeyer homered, and Rayne Edgmon and Essence Allen had two hits apiece. Edgmon doubled and drove in a run, and Adriana Bradley had a couple of RBIs.
Allen struck out six in the losing effort inside the circle.
WHITE OAK 1, ORE CITY 0: ORE CITY — Jessica Patak struck out 17 with no walks, allowing one hit in a complete-game performance as the White Oak Ladynecks earned a 1-0 District 16-3A win over Ore City.
Patak threw 67 of her 84 pitches for strikes, and KayLynn Larrison paced the offense with three hits and the lone RBI of the day. Kara Carter and Kayla Hunter both doubled for White Oak, with Carter adding a single.
Shasta Hickman had the only hit for Ore City. Morgan Clawson pitched well in the loss, striking out five with no walks in seven innings.
HARLETON 6, NEW DIANA 2: HARLETON — The Harleton Lady Wildcats broke a 1-1 deadlock with three runs in the bottom of the fifth, adding two more in the sixth to earn a 6-2 District 16-3A win over New Diana.
Brooke Weaver singled, doubled and drove in two runs for Harleton, which also got two hits and an RBI from Mikayla Lunsford and an RBI from Dana Cooner.
Randi Carol Phillips struck out four, walked two and gave up two earned runs in five innings for the pitching win. Marlie DeMoney pitched two scoreless, hitless innings.
Kylie Easterling and Brooklynn Manes provided the offense for New Diana with solo home runs.
Heather Zook fanned eight, walked one and allowed one earned run in the pitching loss.
ELYSIAN FIELDS 5, WASKOM 2: ELYSIAN FIELDS — Holly Holden went the distance inside the circle, allowing two earned runs and scattering seven hits as Elysian Fields earned a 5-2 District 16-3A win over Waskom.
Holden struck out one and did not issue a walk. Elysian Fields finished with five hits, including a double by Samantha Spears.
Chloe White, Jolie Whaley and Shay Lucus drove in runs for Elysian Fields.
Bree Launey and Ieshia Haggerty both doubled for Waskom, with Myka Fulce adding two singles and Destiny Michel and Haggerty driving in runs.
Michaela Latham struck out three and allowed two earned runs in the pitching loss.
JEFFERSON 7, BECKVILLE 6: JEFFERSON — The Jefferson Lady Bulldogs took the lead with a couple of runs in the sixth, and held on for a 7-6 District 16-3A win over Beckville.
Taylor Fuquay, Hannah Welch and Nia Garrett all doubled for Jefferson, with Garrett adding a single and two RBIs and Welch chipping in with a single and an RBI. Ivaline Clark also drove in a run for Jefferson.
Kinley Pepper doubled and singled, and Madi LaGrone and Kimberly Baker added two hits apiece for Beckville. Madi LaGrone drove in three runs, and Ally LaGrone, Sarah Gray and Baker all chipped in with RBIs.
Welch earned the pitching win. She struck out five, walked two and allowed two earned runs. Ally LaGrone shouldered the loss for Beckville, striking out three, walking two and giving up three earned runs.
HUGHES SPRINGS 10, PAUL PEWITT 0: OMAHA — Kennedi Northam doubled, singled and drove in four runs, and Zoe Lanier worked a shutout from inside the circle as Hughes Springs rolled to a 10-0 District 14-3A win over Paul Pewitt.
Peyton Blythe tripled, and Lanier and Abbye McKinney doubled for Hughes Springs. Katelyn Roth collected three hits, and Kensley Echols, Shelbie Fickling, Marisol Kennedy and Haylee Wilson all drove in runs.
Lanier struck out nine and did not issue a walk.
WEST RUSK 22, WINONA 0: NEW LONDON — Brooklyn Floyd, Makana Morton and Sydnee Martin all doubled twice, and Alexandria Hernandez, Samantha Floyd and Meredith Herron added doubles for the Lady Raiders as West Rusk rolled to a 22-0 win over Winona.
Morton and Brooklyn Floyd had three hits and three RBIs apiece, and Herron, Martin, Kayla Lewis, Samantha Floyd and Hernandez all chipped in with two hits. Martin, Samantha Floyd and Jazmine Sanchez drove in three runs apiece, with Kayla Lewis adding two RBIs and Herron, Allison Bobbitt and Hernandez driving in one apiece.
Morton struck out four, walked one and allowed one hit in three innings for the pitching win.
HARMONY 15, TROUP 0: HARMONY — Katelyn Welborn homered and drove in two runs, Tori Thomas had three hits — including a triple — and drove in five and the Harmony Lady Eagles coasted to a 15-1 win over Troup.
Mikelyn Settles doubled, singled and drove in two for Harmony, and Hunter Morris and Kaylee Clemens added two his apiece. Morris and Alexa Makowsky drove in two runs apiece, and Hope Howard and Clemens drove in runs.
Settles struck out seven with no walks, allowing just one hit in the contest to earn the pitching win.
Emily Neel had the lone hit for Troup.
HAWKINS 10, OVERTON 0: HAWKINS — Madison Staruska tossed a shutout, Hannah Langford banged out four hits and the Hawkins Lady Hawks rolled to a 10-0 win against Overton in District 19-2A play.
Langford had a double among her four hits, which paced a 13-hit Hawkins attack. Staruska, Natalie Smith and Chloe Stone had multiple hits for Hawkins, and Stone, Smith, Langford and Raeli Smith all drove in runs.
Staruska also swiped five bases for the Lady Hawks.
CARLISLE 19, NEW SUMMERFIELD 1: PRICE — Keylee Adair homered twice and drove in five runs, leading the Carlisle Lady Indians to a 19-1 win over New Summerfield.
Allison Gray also homered, adding a double, single and also driving in five. Haley Fears, Heather Jones, Cheyenne Vannier and Tori Esters all doubled for Carlisle. Asia Nobles, Jones, Katelyn Winfrey, Esters, Adair and Vannier all had two hits, with Nobles driving in three runs and Jones, Winfrey, Hagan Grigsby and Vannier adding RBIs.
Adair earned the pitching win.
HUNTINGTON 9, TATUM 3: HUNTINGTON — Reagan Parish struck out 14 to earn the pitching win and added a home run and three RBIs offensively as Huntington notched a 9-3 win over Tatum.
Adriana Bradley blasted her ninth home run of the season and drove in three runs in the loss for Tatum. Lela Burney had Tatum's only other hit.
CARLISLE 15, BIG SANDY 5: PRICE — Allison Gray banged out three hits, including a triple and double, and drove in three runs for Carlisle as the Lady Indians notched a 15-5 win over Big Sandy.
Cheyenne Vannier added two doubles, a single and an RBI for Carlisle. Katelyn Winfrey and Tori Esters chipped in with doubles. Winfrey, Hagan Grigsby, Gray and Vannier all had three hits, with Heather Jones and Gray driving in three runs and Grigsby, Esters and Keylee Adair adding two RBI apiece. Asia Nobles and Vannier drove in one run apiece.
Esters and Adair both struck out three for Carlisle.
