ET Baseball: Kilgore, New Diana, White Oak, Gladewater nab wins, more

KILGORE 10, GARRISON 1: KILGORE — Ren Reynolds earned the pitching win and helped his own cause with three hits and a couple of RBIs as Kilgore (6-2-1) notched a 10-1 win over Garrison.

Reynolds allowed one hit and one run, striking out two in four innings. At the plate, he doubled, singled twice and scored once to go along with an RBI.

Collin Pippen had three hits and scored twice. Javen Smitherman went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. Harlee Biggs, Connor Martin, Trae Clayton and Deuce Ervin all chipped in with one hit, with Martin, Clayton and Ervin driving in runs. Jace McFarland added a pair of singles.

In a 9-1 loss to Hardin-Jefferson, Reynolds had two hits, Khalon Clayton doubled and Brayden Johnson, Martin and Smitherman all added hits.

LONGVIEW 8, CHAPEL HILL 7: Longview rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fifth, winning it on a two-run, walkoff double by Yunior Reyes in an 8-7 victory over Chapel Hill.

Chapel Hill led 4-0 after one and 7-4 heading to the bottom of the seventh. An error, hit batsman and walk loaded the bases, and Cody Haggerty drove in a run with a sacrifice fly before Nikolai Van Zyl tied the contest with an RBI single. Reyes then doubled to bring in two runs for the win.

Jake Fidler had two hits — including a double — and Trajan Bush added a double for the Lobos. Haggerty finished with two RBIs, and Bush also drove in a run.

HENDERSON 8, PINE TREE 3: Henderson jumped out of the gates with a four-run first inning and never looked back as the Lions roared to a 8-3 win over the Pine Tree Pirates.

Though the Lions only collected four hits, they were huge as Drew Galyean clubbed a base-clearing triple.

Galyean finished the afternoon with four RBI, while Lanson Simmons, Dalton Simmons and Nick Parker got the other Lion hits.

Dalton Simmons slapped a double and Parker picked up a run-scoring single.

Shaffer Russell tripled and singled, A.J. Brown doubled, singled and drove in two and Hayden McAfee drove in a run for the Pirates.

HALLSVILLE 2, LIBERTY-EYLAU 1: KILGORE — Mason Oxsheer singled to lead off the bottom of the seventh, and later came around to score on a dropped third strike as Hallsville earned a 2-1 walkoff win over Liberty-Eylau.

Matt Wyman and Oxsheer had two hits apiece for the Bobcats, with Dylan Bailey and Spencer Patterson driving in runs.

Tye Smith struck out 10, walked four and did not allow an earned un in six innings for the pitching win. Tyler Daniel fanned two in one inning on the hill.

NEW DIANA 10, CENTRAL HEIGHTS 4: HENDERSON — Jacob Burton struck out six, walked three and scattered five hits in five innings, and New Diana collected 12 hits as a team in a 10-4 win over Central Heights.

Burton, Landon Dorman and Tristan Swain all doubled for New Diana, with Dorman and Cole Willeford driving in two runs apiece. Lane Meshell had two hits and three RBIs, and Swain finished with two hits and an RBI.


ALL SAINTS 11, MARSHALL 6: MARSHALL — All Saints used an eight-run second inning to take control, holding on for an 11-6 win over Marshall on Saturday.

Cameron Haller, Hunter Neal and Cade Bickerdike all doubled for Marshall in the loss, with Haller adding a single and Jackson Roth driving in two runs. Anthony Gonzalez, Trevor Clark, Neal and Blake Arst all drove in runs.

Caleb Valentine took the loss. Michael Crutcher struck out four with no walks in 4.1 innings.


GLADEWATER 7, TATUM 4: GLADEWATER — Keylon Mack doubled twice and drove in a run while also earning the win on the mound for Gladewater as the Bears earned a 7-4 win over Tatum.

Mack struck out seven, walked one and allowed no runs on two hits in four innings. Danny Badger fanned three with no walks or earned runs allowed in two frames.

Robert Hodges doubled, and Braiden Vickers and Badger drove in runs.

Hunter Foster had two hits and two RBIs in the loss for Tatum..

WHITE OAK 15, DAINGERFIELD 2: GLADEWATER — Keyed by an 11-hit attack, the White Oak Roughnecks decimated the Daingerfield Tigers, 15-2.

Michael Laughlin got the hat trick for the Roughnecks, going 3 for 3 at the dish with five RBI and two runs scored.

White Oak opened with a half dozen in the first inning and piled on four more in the second to take a 10-2 lead.

Heath Hood started and worked two innings in the abbreviated contest and Cade Wheat finished up. The duo limited the Tigers to just two base hits, while Hood whiffed three and Wheat one.

Zach Maly went 2 for 3 and drove in four runs for White Oak, while Taylor Meaux collected a base hit and two RBI and Kason Kienzle added a run-scoring base rap.

Others contributing RBI slaps for the Roughnecks included Trenton Gross and Dalton Summrow., while Jacob Young bagged a base hit.

Dalton Morgan and Derik Rawls accounted for the only two Daingerfield hits..


GILMER 8, VAN 3: LINDALE — Kade Clemens singled and drove in two runs from the leadoff spot for Gilmer, and the Buckeyes rolled to an 8-3 win over Van.

Myles Chumley doubled and drove in a run, and Red Jones, Nathan Mize, Trent Pierce, Dimitri Fort and Jeremy Kelly all added RBIs.

Zak Jordan, one of three Buckeye pitchers, earned the win. He struck out one, walked one and allowed one hit in three scoreless innings.


UNION GROVE 11, SABINE 1: UNION GROVE — Parker Thornton drove in two runs from the leadoff spot, Tanner Stanley added a double, single and two RBIs and Union Grove notched an 11-1 win over Sabine.

Cannon Chamberlin added a double and three RBIs for the Lions, and Kooper Smith, Noah Mayhan and Kase Smith all drove in runs.

Smith struck out two, walked two and allowed no runs in three innings for the pitching win. Thornton fanned two in two frames.

ORE CITY 3, WEST RUSK 3: UNION GROVE — West Rusk scored once in the bottom of the seven to force a 3-3 tie with Ore City.

For Ore City, Tanner Organ and Wyatt Drennan both doubled, with Aaron Nigreville adding two hits and Drennan and Luke Harris driving in runs.

Joe Campbell struck out five and walked five in six innings, and Dustin Ritter fanned one in one inning of work.


HARLETON 10, OVERTON 4: GARY — Mason Goode tripled twice and drove in a run, and Peyton Scott and Tate Atkins drove in two runs apiece for Harleton in a 10-4 win against Overton.

Hunter Jones tripled, and Atkins doubled for Harleton. Good, Will Davis, Atkins, Ted Fuller and Scott all had two hits, and Goode, Davis, Zach Wallace, Hunter Jones and Fuller drove in a run apiece.

For Overton, Gavin Flanagan doubled twice, singled and drove in a run. Bailey Martin doubled, and Hudson Rogers also had an RBI for the Mustangs.

Hunter Jones earned the pitching win for Harleton. He struck out five and walked two in four innings. Martin took the loss. He fanned four and walked two in 4.2 innings.


LK SWEEPS: ELYSIAN FIELDS — Traccer Henry and Deuce Schuler each collected multiple hits as the Linden-Kildare Tigers coasted to an 11-1 win over the Pine Tree JV here Saturday.

The Tigers came back in the second game to nab a hard-fough 1-0 decision over the Hooks Hornets. Caleb Cunningham went the distance for LK and notched the victory. Cunningham gave up four hits, while striking out five. He also drove in the winning run in the third.

Schuler paced the Tigers with two hits, while Henry, Dalton Alford , Marty Johnson and Loy Taylor all had hits..

EF BLANKS PT JV: ELYSIAN FIELDS — Six hits were scattered among six players as the Elysian Field Yellow Jackets nabbed a 10-0 whitewash over the Pine Tree JV Saturday.

Bryan Klayton and Justice Gooch combined to no hit the Pirates. Klayton fanned six and Gooch got three in the rout.

Caleb McCracken drove in two runs.


KILGORE 3, CENTRAL HEIGHTS 3: KILGORE — The host Kilgore Bulldogs fell behind 3-0 early, but rallied for a 3-3 tie agianst Central Heights at Driller Park.

Duece Ervin and Khalon Clayton had two hits apiece for the Bulldogs, with Ervin and Ren Reynolds driving in runs.

Conner Martin struck out five and walked three in four innings, and Reynolds pitched two scoreless frames for Kilgore.


OVERTON 9, WASKOM 2: GARY — Crawford Bobbitt tripled, doubled and drove in two runs, leading Overton to a 9-2 win against Waskom.

Gavin Flanagan added a triple, single and RBI, and Joe Clark doubled once and singled twice for the Mustangs. Bailey Martin added two hits and an RBI, and Brady Brown and Luke Osburn drove in runs.

Tanner Lee earned the pitching win. He struck out four, walked one and allowed no runs on two hits in three innings.

Logan O'Conner and Jacob Reeves had RBIs for Waskom.
