ET Basketball: Trinity girls defeat city rival Christian Heritage, more

TRINITY SCHOOL OF TEXAS 30, CHRISTIAN HERITAGE 27: Trinity School of Texas notched a 30-27 win over crosstown rival Christian Heritage School on Tuesday.

Kelsey Rathbun paced TST with 12 points, five steals and seven rebounds. Abbie Sharp finished with five points, seven rebounds and four blocks, Micah Cobb seven points, four rebounds and two steals and Kate Sparks five points, two rebounds and two steals.

For CHS in the loss, Katelyn Funderburk had 11 points, and Darbi Dorrough finished with eight points and two steals. Lauren Pitts and Faith Carroll had four points apiece, with Carroll adding eight rebounds. Haley Beasley chipped in with five rebounds.

TATUM 80, MARSHALL 50: MARSHALL – Tatum's Brianna Mitchell dropped in 31 points to go along with seven steals, 10 assists and two rebounds as the Tatum Lady Eagles notched an 80-50 win oer the Marshall Lady Mavs.

Marshall now holds an overall record of 5-6 while Tatum is now 11-3.

Essence Allen added 16 points, two rebounds and two steals for Tatum. Jayla Hooper chipped in with 13 points and 13 rebounds, Jada Shans eight points, three rebounds, five steals, eight assists and two blocks, Ashton Brown 10 points, seven rebounds, two steals and three assists, Adriana Bradley two points, Jasmine Rogers three assists, and Ra'Daisha Jones and Amanda Johnson two assists apiece.

Marshall was led by Courtnee Shead who scored 16 points. Kay Kay Jones scored nine and Tearol Roach scored eight. Jasmine Mitchell and Keara Irving were next in line with seven points each and Maycee Griffin scored three.
