ET Girls Basketball Roundup: Pine Tree downs Gladewater, more

PINE TREE 45, GLADEWATER 33: GLADEWATER — The Pine Tree Lady Pirates pulled away in the fourth quarter to earn a 45-33 win over Gladewater on Tuesday.
The Lady Pirates held a slim 10-9 lead after one, and led 36-30 heading into the final quarter before outscoring the Lady Bears 16-9 in the final frame.
Ambreenique Williams tossed in 21 points, Jordan Fuller 10, Kayla Monk four, Essence Washington and McKenzie Kirk three apiece, Kameron Polk two and Akaiya Turner and Malaeka Wilson one each for Pine Tree.
For Gladewater in the loss, Dajanique Gordon finished with 13 points and four rebounds, Annie Oliver six points and nine rebounds, Kierra Jackson six points, Ceara Latson three points and four assists, Victoria Perry and Farren Lincoln two points apiece and Jagraysha Miller one point.
Both teams will participate in the Brownsboro Tournament this weekend. Pine Tree will face Crandall at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.
GILMER 79, GRAND SALINE 26: GILMER — Kyla Grant torched the nets for 27 points, adding 10 rebounds and two steals along the way, and Gilmer coasted to a 79-26 win over Grand Saline.
Meshia Shead finished with 13 points, eight assists and five steals, and Haley Jordan added 10 points, four rebounds and two steals for Gilmer, which led 20-12 after one quarter and 42-18 at halftime.
Deyton Edwards had nine points, Sharday Haley eight, Brianna Burns six and LeLe Morton, Liz Hamilton and Gussie Hampton two apiece. Morton also had four assists and three steals, Haley seven steals and seven assists and Hampton four rebounds, three assists and four steals.
TATUM 80, MARSHALL 50: MARSHALL – Tatum's Brianna Mitchell dropped in 31 points in an effort to help the Lady Eagles defeat the Marshall Lady Mavs 80-50 Tuesday night.
Marshall now holds an overall record of 5-6 while Tatum is now 11-3.
Marshall was led by Courtnee Shead who scored 16 points. Kay Kay Jones scored nine and Tearol Roach scored eight. Jasmine Mitchell and Keara Irving were next in line with seven points each and Maycee Griffin scored three.
JACKSONVILLE 71, CARTHAGE 63: CARTHAGE — Jacksonville overcame a big night by Carthage's Jada McLin to earn a 71-63 win over the Lady Bulldogs.
McLin scored 24 points to go along with 17 rebounds and four steals for Carthage, which led 14-11 after one quarter and 31-29 at the half, but fell behind 50-44 heading into the final stanza.
Addi Blissett finished with 11 points, and Zee McGrue had eight points and seven steals for Carthage, which fell to 3-3 with the loss.
UNION GROVE 49, WHITE OAK 36: WHITE OAK — Summer Grubbs filled the stat sheet with 22 points, six rebounds, five assists and 10 steals, leading the Union Grove Lady Lions to a 49-36 win over White Oak.
Haley Breazeale added 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Lady Lions, who moved to 8-3 with the win. Carleigh Judd finished with seven points, five rebounds and two blocks, and Madelynn Lacaze chipped in with six points.
Union Grove will host Saltillo on Friday.
SABINE 48, BECKVILLE 32: BECKVILLE — The Sabine Lady Cardinals notched a 48-32 win over Beckville on Tuesday.
Kristen Stuart paced Sabine with 24 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Genesis Willett added 14 points, six rebounds and two assists, Sarah Davis four points, eight rebounds and three steals, Mikinzi Cantrell four points and Brookelyn Gray two points, three steals and two assists and two rebounds.
Sabine (11-4) will open district play at home against Winona on Tuesday.
For Beckville in the loss, Miranda Mize had nine points an six rebounds, Jordan Tondreau eight points, five rebounds, two steals and five blocks, Payton Jones seven points, Courtlyn Nail six points and seven steals and Kenzy Latham two points. Brandi Tillman chipped in with six rebounds and three steals for the Ladycats.
HAWKINS 40, NEW DIANA 23: HAWKINS — Alyssa Eddington's double-double (10 points, 11 rebounds) led the way for Hawkins in a 40-23 win over New Diana.
Jaycee Cheshire added 10 points and six rebounds for the Lady Hawks, who led 10-1 after one quarter and 21-5 at halftime. Harlie Conover finished with six points, five steals and two assists, Emily Hodges four points and nine rebounds, Raeli Smith three points and nine rebounds, Carolyn Searer three points, eight rebounds and two steals, Christian Harris two points, six rebounds and two steals and Alexis Burns two points and four rebounds.
ORE CITY 58, OVERTON 34: ORE CITY — The Ore City Lady Rebels jumped out to a 16-9 lead after one, built a 36-17 cushion at the half and rolled to a 58-34 win against Overton.
Cassie Gabaldon paced Ore City with 21 points. Theresa Uehling added 10, and Abby Ervin and Andi Freeman chipped in with six apiece.
PAUL PEWITT 53, JAMES BOWIE 25: OMAHA — Paul Pewitt jumped out to an 18-0 lead after one quarter and rolled from there, coasting to a 53-25 win over James Bowie on Tuesday.
Ebbony Cobbins led the way for Paul Pewitt (9-4) with 29 points, six rebounds and seven steals. Calli Osmon added 11 points and four steals, and Lydia Makowiecki finished with three points, eight rebounds and six steals.
Sheridan Byram had nine points and Sarah Bruce four in the loss for James Bowie.
Paul Pewitt will participate in the Redwater Tournament this weekend, opening at 3:30 p.m. against Hooks on Thursday.
ATLANTA 64, JEFFERSON 49: ATLANTA — Amber Adams' 10-point, 10-block rebound, couple with double figure scoring from three other Lady Rabbits paced Atlanta to a 64-49 win over Jefferson.
Keyona Easter had 17 points, Brittany Collins 16, Kinsey Kelly 13, Sheveonia Smith five and Gracie Smith three for Atlanta.
Elaina Langbartels and Deivya Hodge scored 13 apiece, and Jamya Smith finished with 10 in the loss for Jefferson.
LINDEN-KILDARE 31, BIG SANDY 23: LINDEN — The Linden-Kildare Lady Tigers pulled away with a 9-2 run in the fourth quarter to earn a 31-23 win over Big Sandy.
Skylar Vaughn paced Linden-Kildare with 10 points, adding three rebounds and two assists. Siarra Johnson had eight points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists, Jaimya Gaston eight points and 12 rebounds, Haley Palmer three points and four rebounds and MaKayla Martin one point and 10 rebounds.
Megan Jerden finished with eight points, Airikah Pippins seven, McKenzie Burson four and Taylor Dodez and Jerricka Hare two apiece in the loss for Big Sandy.
AVERY 54, AVINGER 17: AVERY — Avery scored 17 points in each of the first two frames to build a 34-8 lead en route to a 54-17 win over Avinger on Tuesday.
Lourdes Perez scored 13 of Avinger's 17 points, and Karyssa Cook finished with 11 rebounds in the loss for the Lady Indians.
Avinger will compete in the Harleton Tournament this weekend.
TST 30, CHS 27: Trinity School of Texas notched a 30-27 win over crosstown rival Christian Heritage School on Tuesday.
For CHS in the loss, Katelyn Funderburk had 11 points, and Darbi Dorrough finished with eight points and two steals. Lauren Pitts and Faith Carroll had four points apiece, with Carroll adding eight rebounds. Haley Beasley chipped in with five rebounds.
ALL SAINTS 61, TROUP 48: TROUP — Lauren Datwiler and Trysten Mosley combined for 30 points, leading All Saints to a 61-48 win over Troup.
Datwiler had 16 points and Mosley 14 for All Saints.
Kori Minnix finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and two steals in the loss for Troup (7-2). Asia Parker added 11 points, three rebounds and four steals, Ty Moon five points, three rebounds and three assists, Jayla Starks four points and three rebounds, Renee Dennis three points and three rebounds and Alyssa Hearron three points, three rebounds and three assists.
Troup will compete in the Harleton Tournament this weekend.
CHAPEL HILL 42, HARMONY 37: NEW CHAPEL HILL — Karlea Duhon scored 14 points, Ty'Liyah Moore chipped in with 12 and the Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs rallied for a 42-37 win over Harmony.
Natalya Overshown added seven points, Jenea Travier five and Shelbee Denson and D'Andreea Berry two apiece for Chapel Hill, which outscored the Lady Eagles 14-2 in the third quarter.
Katelyn Seahorn scored 11 points and added seven rebounds in the loss for Harmony. Macey Russell finished with nine points and two steals, Elizabeth Spencer six points and two steals, Hope Howard five points and Marlee Seahorn and McKinzee Settles three points apiece. Seahorn also had two steals, and Settles finished with four rebounds.
