ET Boys Basketball Roundup: Pine Tree falls to Lindale, more

LINDALE 52, PINE TREE 49: Lindale used a 20-12 run in the second quarter to take the lead, holding on for a 52-49 win over the Pine Tree Pirates at the Pirate Center on Tuesday.

J.J. Sparkman had 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in the loss for the Pirates (1-2). Isaiah Lawson added 12 points and six steals, and Trey Pruitt finished with 10 points.

The Pirates will participate in the Union Grove Tournament this weekend, facing Jefferson at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday.

CHS 50, TST 49: Kenny Bradshaw dropped in 22 points to pace Christian Heritage School to a 50-49 win over Trinity School of Texas.

Nick Pitts had 12 points for the Sentinels. Cedrick Kelly added nine points, Hayden Upchurch four, Nathan Jones two and Geoffrey Trauger one.

Caleb Liebengood finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds, and Zolen Grant added 19 points and six rebounds in the loss for Trinity School (4-1).

CHAPEL HILL 78, TATUM 64: NEW CHAPEL HILL - Chapel Hill outscored Tatum 40-27 after the break to rally for a 78-64 win over the Eagles.

OB Jones had 20 points, five assists and five steals in the loss for Tatum. Drake Smith added 14 points, JaKobe Mitchell finished with 11 points and five assists. Jimmie Jakubowski scored six points and added seven rebounds and three steals. Jamuarie Wilson and C.J. Vandre had five points apiece, and Jacob Davis scored three points.

SABINE 84, O. CITY 44: ORE CITY — Will Shawn knocked down nine of Sabine's 14 3-pointers, finishing with 34 points, and the Cardinals notched an 84-44 win over Ore City on Tuesday.

Eylan Goodwyn scored 18 points, and Travion Oliver added 10 points and six rebounds for the Cardinals (8-2), who sank 14 of 23 attempts beyond the arc and scored 29 points in the first and third quarters.

Joe Campbell scored 15 points, and Tanner Organ added six for Ore City in the loss.

The Cardinals will participate in the Big Sandy Tournament this weekend.

JEFFERSON 53, COMMERCE 42: JEFFERSON — Dee Mitchell dropped in 22 points, and Jefferson moved to 2-0 on the young season with a 53-42 win over Commerce.

Cameron Hicks added eight points for the Bulldogs. Lyrik Rawls scored seven, Curtis Henry and Eric Gipson five apiece, Kylan Thomas four and Kepha Luster two.

Jefferson will participate in the Union Grove Tournament this weekend, facing Pine Tree at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday.

TROUP 57, BECKVILLE 56: TROUP — Jared Jackson led a balanced Tiger scoring attack with 23 points, and Troup rallied for a 57-56 win over Beckville.

Shane Thomas added 17 points and Weslee Ross eight for Troup (7-1), which trailed 18-14 after one quarter and 27-24 at halftime.

Taylor Hightower and Stephen Darden scored 15 points apiece for Beckville (2-4). Nate Marry had nine and Trey Lindsey eight.

HARMONY 60, COMO-PICKTON 33: HARMONY — Spencer Seahorn dropped in 14 points, Easton Blackstone joined him in double figures with 11 and the Harmony Eagles rolled to a 60-33 win over Como-Pickton.

Trev Buckley and Chris McMillan added eight points apiece for Harmony (2-4), which led 21-7 after one quarter and 38-13 at halftime. Michael Settles finished with seven points. Drew McNeel and Cameron Helpenstill added five apiece and Cesar Arreola two.

Harmony will face Trinity School of Texas at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Union Grove Tournament.

HUGHES SPRINGS 56, HAWKINS 49: HUGHES SPRINGS — Chandler King led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points, and Hughes Springs held off a late Hawkins charge to earn a 56-49 win.

Markees Kemp added 12 points, Brennan Dowell 11, Bryce Johnston nine and Ty Menefee six for Hughes Springs, which led 19-8 after one quarter.

The Mustangs (5-2) will participate in the Big Sandy Tournament this weekend.

LINDEN-KILDARE 37, ATLANTA 35: LINDEN — LaDavian Johnson scored 15 points, Ty Patterson recorded a 13-point, 16-rebound double-double and Linden-Kildare rallied for a 37-35 win over Atlanta.

Jacob Owen added five points and nine rebounds for Linden-Kildare (6-0), which trailed 10-6 after one quarter. Ja'Kevina Rose scored four points to go along with five rebounds and three steals, and Marquise Jones cleared the boards for 12 rebounds to go along with three steals.

Charlie Powell had 11 points, Daimion Collins 10 and Farron Hall nine for Atlanta.


TST 61, KINGS 54: Caleb Liebengood recorded a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and J.T. Powers added 10 points or the Titans as Trinity School of Texas improved to 4-0 on the year with a 61-54 win over Tyler Kings Academy.

The Titans will participate in the Union Grove Tournament this weekend.
