ET Softball Roundup: Henderson edges Center, more

LATE TUESDAY

HENDERSON 2, CENTER 0: CENTER — Henderson pushed across two runs in the top of the seventh inning to break a scoreless deadlock, earning a 2-0 win over Center.

Brianna Robinson struck out 12, walked three and scattered five hits in the complete-game shutout for the Lady Lions.

Maggi Dickerson banged out three hits, including a double, and drove in both runs for Henderson. Milee Green singled and doubled, and Katelyn Odom chipped in with a double.

ARP 12, WEST RUSK 9: ARP — The Arp Lady Tigers rallied from three runs down early to post a 12-9 win over West Rusk.

Meaghan Davis belted a grand slam for West Rusk in the loss, and Brooklyn Floyd and Allyson Floyd both added home runs. Brooklyn Floyd, Makana Morton and Natalie Farrow all doubled for the Lady Raiders, and Brooklyn Floyd and Allyson Floyd drove in two runs apiece. Meredith Herron also drove in a run.

Morton took the pitching loss. She struck out 11 and walked one.

UNION GROVE 16, UNION HILL 3: BETTIE — Madelynn Lacaze tripled and drove in five runs, and Union Grove coasted to a 16-3 win over Union Hill.

Lizzie Bible, Moriah Chasteen and Bailey Wilder all doubled for the Lady Lions, with Bible, Savanna Chambliss and Peyton Chamberlain driving in two runs apiece. Chasteen, Winter Wilson, Wilder and Kasi Jones finished with two hits apiece, and Chasteen, Wilder, Paige Summers and Jones all drove in runs.

Maddie Clowers struck out nine and walked three, giving up one earned run in five innings. Jones fanned four in two innings.

TROUP 15, WINONA 0: WINONA — Drea Austin and Ashley Neal drove in three runs apiece, and Tayler Vance tossed a one-hitter for Troup as the Lady Tigers notched a 15-0 win over Winona.

Vance struck out six with no walks. Kacie Young added two RBIs for Troup.
