Longview 2019 OL Marcus Williams
The pursuit of Longview 2019 offensive lineman Marcus Williams has shown no signs of slowing down.
It continued on Tuesday as SMU became the fifth FBS Division I program to offer the 6-6, 233-pound junior, according to Longview head coach John King.
Williams, who is making the summer camp circuit, landed offers from Southern Miss and Texas State this past Monday after attending camp at ETBU in which both coaching staffs were present.
The came a big Friday for Williams, who clocked a 4.8 40 in Marshall.
While at an SFA camp in Nacogdoches, Houston extended an offer and Baylor followed shortly after, giving Williams his first Power Five opportunity.
Williams will be a key spot on Longview's offensive line this upcoming season at left tackle. With his 6-6 frame and size 18 shoe, King noted his athleticism as well as length and flexibility.
